Skill Trees & Builds
RAIDBORN features an open skill system with maximum build freedom. Choose from five skill trees to create your perfect dungeon crawler.
All active abilities are now equipable items in 1.0 — you can swap them at will. The Misc skill section requires Learning Points from Knowledge Tomes (1,500 Gold from potion merchants).
Barbarian
Active Ability: Blood Rage (Equipable)
Active Ability
Unleash fury for devastating damage but decreased protection. Now an equipable ability — increase area damage, remove protection malus, and push enemies back while active. Uses 3 combo bars.
Branch Skills
🎯 Playstyle
Aggressive, high-damage, high-risk combat style. Best against chunk-regen enemies like Stone Giant. Save 3 combo bars before activating.
Defender
Active Ability: Bulwark (Equipable)
Active Ability
Equipable ability that increases protection but decreases damage output. Shields always block projectiles (no longer requires a skill). Stack duration and regen to become nearly unkillable.
Branch Skills
🎯 Playstyle
Tank-oriented, defensive playstyle. Great for learning boss patterns and surviving tough encounters. Bedroom + Chapel outpost rooms complement this build.
Knight
Active Ability: Battle Focus (Equipable)
Active Ability
Equipable ability that increases stamina regeneration and attack speed. Enhanced with move speed, combo gain, duration, and cost reductions. The most well-rounded active ability.
Branch Skills
🎯 Playstyle
Balanced combat style combining offense and mobility. Recommended for beginners — Battle Focus gives sustained aggression without the vulnerability of Blood Rage.
Rogue
Active Ability: Advanced Archery (Equipable)
Active Ability
Unlocks advanced arrow types: fire, venom, and explosive arrows. Shields now always block projectiles (removed the old skill for this). Stealth headshot builds are devastating.
Branch Skills
🎯 Playstyle
Ranged and stealth-focused. Pick off enemies from afar with headshots or sneak in for lethal stealth kills. Fire arrows melt armor; venom arrows for bosses.
Wizard
Active Ability: Spellcraft (Equipable)
Active Ability
Complete Wizard skill tree with equipable spell abilities. Cast destructive spells (Fireball, Ice Wave, Lightning Strike), dark necromantic magic (Life Leech), and arcane auxiliary magic (Physical Warding, Light). Choose between natural spellcasting or scroll crafting for battle mage builds. (Spellcraft & Wizardry DLC)
Branch Skills
🎯 Playstyle
Magic-focused ranged caster. The Light spell replaces torches entirely. Fireball + Ice Wave combo handles groups. Life Leech pairs with aggressive play. Requires Spellcraft & Wizardry DLC.

Difficulty: EasyMisc Skills
The Misc skill section cannot be leveled with regular skill points. You need Learning Points from Knowledge Tomes.
- • Knowledge Tomes are rarely found in dungeons
- • Best source: potion merchants in town — usually 1-2 in stock, cost 1,500 Gold
- • Merchants also sell skill books to improve quest rewards and bartering skills
- • Rumor: a tome exists that can trade your regular skill points for learning points
