RAIDBORN Walkthrough

Complete walkthrough covering the main story progression, key locations, and all major encounters.

⚡ Important Note

RAIDBORN features procedurally generated dungeons. While the main story beats and points of interest are fixed, dungeon layouts, enemy placements, and loot will vary between playthroughs. This walkthrough covers the fixed content and general strategies.

1Early Game — Getting Started

Arrive in Everband City

Your starting hub. Visit all four shops to understand what's available. Talk to NPCs with ? markers for quests. Do a scavenger hunt — there are 11+ hidden item locations on roofs, behind bushes, and in stumps!

Buy torches and lockpicks from General Goods
Check Weaponsmith and Armorsmith for starting gear
Visit the Hunter for bow and arrows if going Rogue
Use 'Sell all treasure' at shopkeepers for quick gold
General Goods sometimes sells skill books — always check

Build Your Outpost

Start building your outpost rooms. The developer recommends Workshop + Forge + Alchemy Lab + Garden as the best early combination.

Dev pick: Workshop + Forge + Alchemy Lab + Garden
Alchemy Lab provides sustainable potion income
Don't just build Quarters early — it's the only wrong choice
Bedroom and Chapel are solid alternatives for healing/curses

Choose Your Skill Tree

Your first Knowledge Tome will let you choose a starting skill. Knight is recommended for beginners. Remember: Misc skills need Learning Points, not regular skill points.

Knight: Balanced, great for learning combat
Barbarian: Aggressive, high damage
Defender: Tanky, forgiving
Rogue: Ranged, requires precision
Buy Knowledge Tomes from potion merchants (1,500 Gold)

First Dungeon Runs

Enter procedurally generated dungeons to gain experience, loot, and gold. Start with Relaxed difficulty.

Always carry torches (20+) — dark rooms have hidden buttons on bookshelves
Look for hidden buttons and levers behind torches
Use kick to deplete enemy stamina for easy kills
Collect everything — unlimited inventory
Health potions heal 40% but you can die while drinking — use proactively
Parrying is basically free — two-handed users can still defend

Use torch and maximize brightness to find items
Lore items provide story context

Challenge the Stone Giant

Chunk-based regeneration means passive play is punished. Must be aggressively aggressive.

Blood Rage is very effective here
Don't waste time on defense — full offense
Skeleton Sentinels also have chunk-based regen

A secret basement in Everband City. Use a Crisp Key, then collect 4 Guardian Crystals (high-level dungeons only). Contains Guardian Armor.

💡 About the DLC:Magic was never part of the original vision for RAIDBORN — the developer's focus was always melee/ranged combat. The Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion was created because players requested it for years. The base game is fully complete without it. The expansion is optional content for players who want more. Launch discount: 24% off until June 18.
